The Wedge is designed with a wedge portion on one striking end of the body. This wedge is designed to be used to defeat the weakest portion of any inward opening door, the seam. The wedge should be struck into the seam between the door jam and the lock set and or sets. The wedge is designed to be struck against the seam of the door with the wedge facing north and south not side to side.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in a failed breach and possible injury as well. The operator should approach the target door and set themselves at approx. a 45 degree angle to the door. This will allow the Wedge to swing without any worries of back space and/or tight hallways.
The operator must have their back closest to the hinge side of the door. This is to prevent any injury such as striking ones forearm against the door jam in the event that the door opened with less resistance than anticipated. Such action would result in your forearms striking the door jam.
Note: Warning any and all manual breaching actions place the end user at risk of serious and permanent injury. All operators of the JTC-WEDGE must read and understand the instructions below. The JTC-WEDGE should only be used by operators who have read and understand the instructions provided. All operators must wear eye and hand protection as well as any other protective equipment they deem necessary for the operation.
