Gone were the days of the kapok-filled lifejacket and in was the flotation revolution. For more than 10 years, the Ice Commander™ has set the standard in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for cold water rescue. The IC9002-02 accommodates a wider range of body types while offering unmatched adjustment to suit the needs of individual rescuers.

The IC9002-02 is a modular suit made of a durable urethane-coated nylon shell and a removable buoyancy liner that also provides thermal protection. Along with the integrated boots and gloves, the extended torso and covered diagonal entry zipper allow for quick donning while creating additional flexibility for the rescuer. Multi-point adjustment straps on the wrist, torso and legs and an adjustment zipper on the back of the hood create a near custom fit. �A neoprene face guard offers additional protection from icy water and can be folded out of the way when not in use. The face guard can also be pulled to purge of excess air trapped inside the suit. The suits are reinforced in high abrasion areas and feature and are 45% lighter than neoprene suits.

When lives are at stake, having an immersion suit with the quality and performance of the Mustang Survival Ocean Commander is essential. The OC8000 is 45% lighter than conventional neoprene suits, is easy to get into and so flexible that it's ideal for abandonment procedures. The Ocean Commander� is feature-laden to give you the highest level of protection.� Donning is made easy with a full-length zipper, neoprene wrist seals and removeable neoprene mitts; mobility is enhanced through non-slip rubber soles that provide traction on wet surfaces; the welded nylon outer shell provides waterproofness; a detachable inner buoyancy liner is constructed of Mustang AirSoft(TM) foam for maximum flotation and thermal insulation. The suit also includes an inflatable pillow to support the head at an optimum flotation angle, SOLAS grade reflective tape on shoulders and arms to aid in nighttime detection, a whistle to alert rescuers and a buddy line to prevent drifting apart from crewmates.
