TEAMS
 

The TEAMS (Telemetry Electronic Air Management System) is a monitoring system of important information and communication between the user of the DELTAIR SCBA and the command center.  The StatCheck device attached to the SCBA monitors SCBA battery status, cylinder pressure, real time temperatures, and the user Personal Identification Number (PIN) entry device. Using the transmitter assembly, mounted In the backframe, this information is sent back to the command center that displays this information on a laptop computer.  Fire Fighters can enter a PIN into the StatCheck and the command center will display the names of the users of the SCBA.  Fire Departments can also assign the SCBA to a jump seat location and the command center laptop will display the engine company and jump seats location.

ECHOTRACER™

The AVON EchoTracer™ firefighter locating system utilizes patented PULSE™  ultrasonic technology that provides the means for a fire departments “RIT”  Team to significantly reduce the time it takes to find a downed fire fighter. 

The transmitter is automatically activated on the downed fire fighters SCBA  and is detected by a hand held device or through any avonThermal Imaging  Camera equipped with the EchoSeeker option...

The RIT/RIC rescue system from AVON offers Rapid Intervention Teams greater flexibility in providing emergency air to trapped or downed Fire Fighters. 

The RIC system uses the NFPA mandated quick connect that will dump up to 50% of the rescue air into the victims cylinder.

The RIT system attaches to the low pressure side of any AVON SCBA through the Buddy Breather, Face Mask connection or Remote Airline Connection.  Using the low pressure side is safer and the RIT system has an end of service alarm to warn when it is time to change cylinders.

A Combo unit comprised of both the RIC and RIT systems is available.

SUPPLIED AIR RESPIRATORS

When working in an IDLH atmosphere (Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health) where it may be difficult to get into a confined space with an SCBA or where you need to be on continuous supplied air – you must use a Supplied Air Respirator with escape (ARAP-E). If the supplied air fails you can use the escape bottle to provide air while you get to a safe place.  If you are in a NON-IDLH environment then you can use an ARAP-C respirator.  This has no emergency escape air as type C respirators are only approved for NON-IDLH atmospheres where while the air may be unpleasant - it is not harmful.

EEBA – Emergency Escape Breathing Apparatus

The EEBA units from AVON PROTECTION are NIOSH approved constant flow respirators used to escape from a toxic/hazardous environment.  They are simple to use and don in seconds allowing the user to quickly escape.  They are available in 5 and 10 minute cylinder sizes and provide a constant flow of air at 40 lpm.  They are refillable and offer a Polyurethane or PVC that fits any head size/configuration including workers with beards/mustaches.

NON-CBRN REQUIREMENTS

Avon Protection Systems, announces the introduction of the PC50™ APR, a field proven, military pedigree, NIOSH approved, non-CBRN respiratory device for use with the CTF12 Canister providing protection against CS/CN agents.  The PC50™ was specifically developed and designed for Correctional Officers, Riot Control, Border Patrol, Plant Security and other non-CBRN requirements.

According to Tom Korb, Avon’s Senior Global Product Manager “The targeted user groups continually face financial pressures to procure the most competitively priced respiratory protection mask available that still meets their demanding operational requirements. Our new PC50™ exceeds these demands by providing a mask designed for low cost of ownership and delivers maximum reliability. The PC50™ is also field proven and combines Avon’s military pedigree with NIOSH approval.”

The PC50™ is the most comfortable mask available, provides superior protection, excellent fit and a class leading integration with protective helmets and clothing. Unlike other masks the PC50™ was specifically designed with the intended user in mind.  It incorporates a lower profile, a downward exhalation cover to prevent fogging of the helmet visor and a standard communication port to allow the ability to connect with existing radios.

The PC50™ is available in three sizes with either left or right hand 40mm canister mounts and includes a six point head harness designed for comfort and rapid donning and doffing.  Multiple, coloured outserts are also available to increase ballistic protection and additional scratch resistance. The mask can be easily fitted with a vision correction system.
