Federal Signal's technologies that have had a powerful impact include
the Solaris® LED reflector design and ROC technology. Solaris maximizes
the light performance of the most intense LEDs available and disperses
the light where it is needed most. Federal Signal's patented ROC
(Reliable Onboard Circuity®) technology eliminates approximately 85
percent of the connection failure points found in a typical lightbar.
Wires, connections, and assemblies have been replaced in lightbars by
PCB assemblies -- reducing labor repair time and increasing road time
for emergency vehicles.
Other
recent breakthroughs exclusive to Federal Signal include the SpectraLux™
multicolor LED technology. SpectraLux provides the ability for a single
lightsource to change color while in use. The Solaris SLR is found in
the Vision SLR, Federal Signal's newly released, patent-pending,
non-linear lightbar. Solaris SLR utilizes the high-performance reflector
design to rotate the light 360 degrees. In combination with its shape,
it provides more than 8 times more light than a typical linear lightbar.
The FS Convergence Network provides literal "plug-and-play" installation
and control head programmability with the SmartSiren Platinum.
The
Rumbler intersection clearing device has gained recognition with first
responders as it helps to get the attention of vehicle operators and
pedestrians through low-frequency siren warning tones. |
